An important feature of our healthcare initiatives for the elders is organizing health camps in rural as well as urban areas. Arupnanda Mission Ashram in association with its network has successfully organized both general and specialized health camps for the elderly. A general camp team comprises a general physician, pharmacist, and assistant.
A specialized health camp has a team of specialized doctors like dentists, ophthalmologists, gynecologists, and orthopedics besides general physicians, pharmacists and assistants. The health camps ensure diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for general ailments, dental care, gynecological conditions, and ophthalmic diseases are carried out. These camps also focus on preventive healthcare programs through Information, Education and Communication, and Behaviour Change Communication activities among the community.
Arupnanda Mission Ashram Missions Education works with the objective of empowering underprivileged children by providing education, nutrition, and wellness support. Mission Education works with children (3-18 years) living in difficult circumstances, children from poor families, differently abled children, disaster-struck children, abandoned and street children, and children living in tribal belts, remote villages and hard to reach areas. The Right to Education (RTE) Act which came into force in 2010 made education free and compulsory for all children in the age group of 6-14 years. But even a decade later, the learning curve has not been steady for many children in the country. The socio-economic conditions of parents and lack of proper learning in schools are hindrances which prevent many children from having education.
To complete a journey we have to step forward first. We continue to do our duty quietly and relentlessly and try our level best to solve the problems of the society without any hue and cry.
